Raised in the Midwest, Ed has always been drawn to the outdoors—from the lake country of southern Maine and Boundary Waters of northern Minnesota, to the Piedmont hills of North Carolina. In 1974 Ed landed in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. An avid fly fisherman, he began to take his sketchbook with him to the river, and before long his rod and reel gave way to a sketch pad and easel. He now lives with his wife Nancy in the foothills southwest of Denver, overlooking Pike National Forest.
